We aim to continue expanding the cycle network, connecting different areas.
Use our app to find open and proposed cycle routes.
It’s very simple: just enter your route (start and finish) and select the “Bike” mode.
The app will then show you a lot of information:
- possible routes
- travel times
- percentage of cycle lanes and calmed lanes on the route, etc.
Cycle parking
Find places to park your cycle:
On streets: There are almost 600 on-street cycle parking spaces across Cannes: see map.
Protect your bike from theft
- Lock the lot: Lock the frame and both wheels to a secure cycle stand.
- Secure your bike as close to the stand as possible to give any thieves little or no room to manoeuvre.
- Take removable parts with you.
Cycling safety tips
- Stop at red lights.
- Stay away from parked cars. Ideally, keep a door’s width away in case the door opens suddenly.
- Don’t cycle on the pavement.
- Stay back from HGVs. Lorries and other large vehicles might not be able to see you clearly.
- Always pay attention:stay focused on what’s going on around you so you can see what other road users might do. Make eye contact with drivers so you’re sure that they have seen you.
- Use appropriate hand signals to indicate that you’re turning left or right.
- Don’t use a mobile phone or earphones when cycling.
- Stay safe by wearing reflective clothing/accessories at night.
- Use lights after dark-white at the front and red at the rear.
- Consider wearing a helmet.
